1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the booking and participation in any safari, tour, or travel service provided by Tanzania Tourism Safaris (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By making a booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, please do not use our services or website.


2. Booking and Confirmation

a. Booking Process

To confirm a booking, you must provide accurate personal information, travel details, and preferences. A deposit or full payment may be required depending on the type of tour.

b. Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation email or invoice from Tanzania Tourism Safaris.


3. Payments

a. Deposit

A non-refundable deposit (typically 30% of the total cost) is required to secure your reservation. The deposit amount will be confirmed in your invoice.

b. Balance

The balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the tour start date. If booking within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

c. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved payment options provided during booking.


4. Cancellations and Refunds

a. Cancellation by the Client

If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit

  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% of total cost

  • 15–29 days before departure: 75% of total cost

  • 14 days or less: 100% of total cost (no refund)

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@tanzaniatourismsafaris.com.

b. Cancellation by the Company

We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or insufficient participant numbers. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or credit toward a future trip.


5. Travel Insurance

All clients are required to have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, evacuation, loss of belongings, and personal liability. Proof of insurance may be requested before travel.


6. Changes to Itinerary

While we strive to operate all tours as advertised, changes may be necessary due to weather, wildlife movements, road conditions, or other unforeseen events. We reserve the right to modify itineraries, accommodation, or transport arrangements as needed for safety or practical reasons.


7. Health, Safety, and Travel Requirements

a. Health

You are responsible for ensuring that you are medically fit to travel. Consult your doctor for vaccinations and advice specific to East African travel.

b. Visas and Passports

You must have a valid passport and obtain all necessary visas before travel. Tanzania Tourism Safaris is not responsible for delays or costs incurred due to invalid documentation.


8. Client Responsibilities

By participating in a safari or tour, you agree to:

  • Respect local customs, wildlife, guides, and fellow travelers

  • Follow all safety instructions given by the guides

  • Refrain from illegal activity or behavior that endangers others

  • Be punctual for scheduled activities and transfers

We reserve the right to remove any client from a tour without refund for behavior that violates these responsibilities or causes significant disruption.


9. Liability Disclaimer

Tanzania Tourism Safaris, its employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:

  • Injury, illness, loss, or damage incurred during your trip

  • Delays or cancellations due to weather, strikes, war, or other force majeure events

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings

Participation in tours and activities involves some inherent risks, including encounters with wildlife and travel in remote areas. By booking, you accept these risks.


10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform obligations if such failure results from acts of God, war, pandemic, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our control.


11. Photography and Marketing

We may take photos and videos during tours to be used for promotional purposes on our website or social media. If you do not wish to appear in such media, please inform us in writing before the tour begins.


12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, text, images, and itineraries, is the intellectual property of Tanzania Tourism Safaris. You may not copy, distribute, or reuse this content without written permission.


13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Maryland.
